Ten Best Reason to do a Boudoir Photography Shoot…

You’ve heard the words “Boudoir Session”, but what exactly is a boudoir photography session? Should you get one done? A boudoir session is a photography session where you wear sexy outfits, lingerie, dresses, or even go scantily clad and get your photographs taken. While these sessions can seem intimidating here are the top eight reasons why you SHOULD do a boudoir session!

Ten Best Boudoir - Jacksonville

Ten Best Boudoir – Jacksonville

1. YOU’LL LOOK & FEEL AMAZING

Professional hair and makeup, a professional photographer, and professional retouching equals some of the best portraits of yourself that you will ever see. I often tell my clients to schedule a night out after getting their portraits done, because they will look and feel amazing! Waiting to lose those perpetual “Last 5, 10, or 15 pounds”? DON’T! Professional photographers know how to pose you to flatter your individual body type.

2. CONFIDENCE BUILDING

We will coach you down to your fingertips and capture your most beautiful and radiant self. From the moment you sit in the makeup chair to the moment you skip with

confidence out of the studio you’re going to feel like a million bucks!

3. IT MAKES A GREAT GIFT FOR YOUR GROOM/HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND/SIGNIFICANT OTHER!

Imagine the look on his face when you surprise him with a little keepsake box filled with sensuous pictures of the one he loves! He thinks you’re beautiful on your worst hair days and in your yoga pants, so show him how smoking hot you are in classy lingerie and professional makeup! It may be a side he’s never seen!

4. IT MAKES A GREAT GIFT FOR YOU!

Show off your beauty and give yourself an esteem boost with photographs that you can treasure. Do it for yourself. Be pampered. Indulge. Love every minute!

5. YOU’RE ALREADY WORKING IT FOR THE WEDDING

You’ve been on a skin care regimen for the last six months and skipped the donuts in the conference room to make sure you look the best for your wedding day. Show off you hard work and document such a momentous time in your life.

6. YOU GET TO GO SHOPPING!

Women tend to put others first in their lives a lot of the time. Take some time out for yourself and go shopping for yourself! I work with my clients to make sure they get the best fitting lingerie for their bodies. The best part? All of the great pieces you purchase can make other appearances in more intimate settings!

7. MAKE IT A GIRL’S DAY OUT!

Need a little confidence boost to come in for a session? Make it a girl’s day out! Choose a few of your BFF’s and do a session together! Most boudoir photographers offer special girl’s day out collections that include a day of pampering, food, wine, and each lady getting her time in front of the camera!

8. IT WILL EMPOWER YOU

Getting treated like a celebrity for a few hours is great therapy for anyone! But wait until you get to see the photographs for the first time. You will be blown away. You will see how gorgeous you really are and it will put a little pep in your step!

9. IT’S A GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE A MILESTONE

Have an anniversary coming up or just scored a well-deserved promotion? Why not get this time in your life documented in a gratifying way? Not only will you have gorgeous portraits of yourself, but when you look at them you’ll remember how amazing this time in your life was! Celebrate it!

10. YOU DESERVE IT

Side note:

Remember that you can wear whatever makes you feel sexy and confident; a boudoir session is all about you! When choosing a photographer, look for photographers that specialize in boudoir for the ultimate experience. Think about how you want to be photographed and look for those kinds of photographs in a photographer’s portfolio. Don’t put it off, now is the time to indulge yourself!

St Augustine Wedding Sneak Peek | Marineland Wedding by Irrok Photography

So happy to share these few images from Meredith and David’s recent wedding at Mainland in Saint Augustine. This is such a unique wedding venue located right on the ocean just a bit south of Ponte Vedra Beach. The property and staff at Mainland were a pleasure to work with and I was amazed at how well they are able to encourage the dolphins to participate in the wedding portraits. My favorite moment was following the wedding ceremony when the dolphins jumped about 3 times in a row allowing us to grab the awesome image you see below. We also had a few moments to work with the dolphins, trainer and the bride and groom to grab another image or two at the viewing window. We we’re able to get a very unique image of the bride and groom with one of the dolphins posed in the tank. He even smiled and blew a few bubbles… everything came together and we made the picture! I don’t know if that could ever be recreated! I’m so happy that we were able to make that happen for our client. Meridith and David LOVED the images and I think you will too!

Jacksonville Wedding Photographers | Cait & Victor’s Jax Zoo Wedding Sneak Peek!

So happy to share this sneak peak from Cait & Victor’s recent wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens. We started the day at the Double Tree by Hilton at Jacksonville Airport. Odete arrived with the ladies while they prepared for the ceremony. I’m so happy with the natural window lit images that she captured during the morning! I arrived with the guy and quickly we headed for a few photos of the groom with his groomsmen on the rear patio of the hotel property before jumping in the limo to head to the Zoo. We all gather in the Asian bamboo garden for the couples first look. We then moved around the property to make some images of the wedding party and family portraits before the ceremony at 7:30pm . The ceremony & reception were a perfect success. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek images below. Make sure to check back for the complete post of images a little later.

St. Augustine Wedding Photos | River House Wedding by Irrok Photography

The day start with Rachel and her ladies in downtown st. Augustine at the Historic Bayfront Hilton Hotel. Odete spent a few hours with all of the ladies while they prepared for the upcoming wedding ceremony. The groom and his gentle men opted to arrive ready and just placed on their jackets when the arrived at the River house. We quickly ushered the groom and his men outside for some photos prior to the ceremony while Odete also took the ladies to the adjacent side of the property near the fountain. Soon it was time for the bride and groom first look in the library. I think you will agree from the images below that this was a perfect location for the first look to take place. The bride and groom enjoyed a moment alone and took the time to admire how wonder each other looked. It was clear that Wyatt was in awe of his stunning bride and these images are some of my favorites from the day. Soon it was time for the jewish wedding ceremony! Traditional exchange of vows, rings and Wyatt put his foot down one final time while breaking the glass. The couple was now officially husband and wife! We used the immediate family for family formal portraits adjacent to the ceremony location. The wedding party photos were next, followed by portraits of the bride and groom! We grabbed some great images of the wedding party entering the ballroom at the River House, followed by dancing of the father and the bride and the mother son dance. The dj soon turned up the music and invited the entire list of guests up for an evening of dancing and festivities. The day was a perfect success and I hope you are able to relive the day through the images we shared below.

Jacksonville Wedding Photographers | Angela & Patrick’s Waterfront Ceremony

I recently spent the day photographing Angela & Patrick’s private waterfront wedding ceremony and reception. They have a beautiful home on the water just outside of St. Augustine ion Green Cove Springs Florida. The day started with the ladies getting prepared and enjoying a few glasses of champagne while the hair and make-up transformation took place. Patrick and his guys arrived a little later and hung out waiting for photos down by the boat! I divided the time till the ceremony between photos of the guys and ladies! We made some great photos before the ceremony and managed to keep the bride and groom from bumping into each other! Moving forward tot the ceremony… The groom patiently awaited his bride who was escorted by her mother. Mom unveiled her daughter, then passed her off to the groom. The ceremony was heartfelt and everyone seemed to hang on each word. Finally it was time for a kiss and the newly married couple were announced to the crowd. Angela & Patrick were elected with joy and their was no holding back the emotions! Now time for the Family formals and portraits of the wedding party, bride & groom. We moved through these photos offering plenty of suggestions and maximizing our use of the property! The bridal now headed toward the large wedding tent that was set up for the reception. The party was soon to begin! The evening was a great success. Many of the guests, friends and family spent hours eating, dancing and drinking the night away!

Please view the images below to relive the moments that took place on the perfect day….

Savannah Wedding Photographers | A Mackey House Wedding by Irrok Photography

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Gina & Christian’s wedding ceremony & reception at The Mackey House in beautiful Savannah Georgia. I’m not sure where to begin, but I can tell you that the property is a hidden gem! It was very spacious and meticulously maintained. I am a big fan of wide open spaces and the property sits on quite a few acres! I could tell right away that we were going to have plenty of location to make beautiful wedding photos. The day started with Gina and her bridesmaids. They arrived on location a few hours before the ceremony to get ready and make sure Gina was ready for her first look! Christian arrived soon after and had access to the “man-cave” where he and his groomsmen prepared, enjoyed a few drinks and made sure that the groom was 100% ready to meet his bride. They had gone out to downtown Savanah the night before and some may have indulged a little too much! lol ( Ask Christian… I’m sure he’d be happy to tell ya the story about the “toxic waste” ) Moving forward the bride and groom where in place and ready to move forward with their 1st look! We chose a beautiful location beneath the trees and the couple shared a moment together before walking down the isle. The ceremony, reception, dinner and evening festivities were a perfect success! Please enjoy the images below to relive the day in its entirety… Thank you to all of the vendors below for contributing their skills and professionalism to make the day perfect!
